Board of Equalization and Review

Purpose: On request, the Board of Equalization and Review shall hear any taxpayer who owns or controls property taxable in the county with respect to the listing or appraisal of his property or the property of others. Requirements for Membership: Each member is appointed by a County Commissioner to represent different sectors of the county. GS 105-322. Established in early 1950’s.
