Senior Services Committee
Meeting Schedule: 8:30 a.m. the third Tuesday of each month except July and December
Meeting Location: J. R. Kernodle Senior Center

Purpose: This committee was formed to provide advice and guidance to the Board of Commissioners regarding elderly issues. The group also allocates funds for elderly services provided by the Home and Community Care Block Grant (Federal Title III Older Americans Act). Requirements for Membership: Between 12 and 21 (not to exceed 25) members supportive of the purposes of the Committee who possess qualities of leadership; employees of services agencies which compete for governmental funds to serve the elderly are not eligible to be voting members of the Committee. Established: February 19, 1990.
